Coronavirus (Covid-19) & The Precautions We Are Taking At The Clinic

Coronavirus is sweeping the nation — quite literally. What was first reported in China late last year has now made its way to every continent but Antarctica. There are some simple precautions you can take to protect yourself from coronavirus such as washing those hands, keeping sanitizer on hand and cutting down on close contact (social distancing and self-isolating). Today’s blog is about how we are dealing with the situation currently in our clinics. As Allied Health is an essential service, the Australian Government is currently encouraging clinics to stay open. In these strange times we are continuing to follow advice and health updates. We are also following these safety measures in the clinic to ensure your health and safety:
  1. Removing all newspapers, magazines, kids toys and equipment from waiting rooms as we cannot effectively sanitise them
  2. We sanitise treatment tables and high traffic surfaces/fixtures in rooms after EVERY patient (including keyboard and doorknobs) and instruments are being sterilised
  3. Toilet doors and sinks are sanitised as often as possible
  4. Sanitation of our EFTPOS machines and our touch POS system as often as possible
  5. All staff and patients are being screened prior to their appointment and are being instructed not to come into the clinic if the feel remotely unwell
  6. Sanitiser is available in every room for all patients and staff members including the reception area
  7. Area have been set up as best as possible to ensure social distancing
  8. Face masks and gloves are available
  9. Staying informed and ensuring we are keeping up to date with newest advice released
Please remember it is normal to feel sad, stressed, confused, sacred or even angry during a crisis. Talking to people you trust can help, such as a friends and family, your doctor, or your fellow community members. We will continue to follow advice and government guidance. Your health and safety is our highest priority. Please call the clinic if you have any questions or concerns.
